Aboubakr Barry, CEO and founder of Results Associates, brings more than 20 years’ experience in complex audits, financial controls, fraud, risk management, and accounting at multi-billion-dollar levels. Prior professional roles include the Islamic Development Bank, where he led the Financial Control Department for eight years (with 40 staff from 21 countries). This is in addition to serving with the Financial and Planning Office in the Treasury Department, where outcomes included the optimization of yield on a liquidity portfolio of $15 billion and the mobilization of $2 billion from the global capital market. He also supervised the disbursement of $15 billion and the collection of $10 billion, the implementation of the SAP ERP system, the management of a $21 billion balance sheet, and the external audit of 16 funds. Other roles include Associate Auditor with PWC, Senior Auditor with Time Warner, and senior auditor with the African Development Bank. He holds CPA licenses in New York and Maryland and an MBA in Accounting from Pace University in New York. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Financial Manager (CFM), and is certified in the COSO Internal Control Framework.
